The retirement boomerang is in full flight! With the vintage peloton shaping up for 2009, I can't wait for the racing so I can watch Cavendish take on Sean Kelly or Contador take on Lucho Herrera.
Seriously though, somethings tells me if they put a team together of retired Tour winners and stars, they would STILL probably kick ass. Can you imgaine the roster?

Chris- you're not kidding! He was probably the most reckless sprinter I've ever seen. "Abdoujaparov" roughly translates to "HOLDYOURLINE!!!"
Imagine Oosterbosch leading out Abdu. Abdu would hook him as he came past in the sprint, just because he could, and then plow thru a dozen spectators, a police car, ice cream truck and the dopage control and still keep on and win.
Seriously, Oosterbosch and Abdou would be an effing steamroller of a sprint train!
